Robin and Dale have been married for decades, during which they have nurtured their love of horses through both pleasure and business. Many spirited discussions and joint experiences have given birth to our evolving view of the best way to interact with horses.
This has led to our "Soft Touch" approach.
It is based on the simple principles of understanding the horse's viewpoint, finding common ground, communicating clearly, and respectfully asking for cooperation.
We believe these provide the best foundation for building a productive and loving relationship with your horse.
Growing up on an Arabian horse breeding farm, Robin was riding before she could walk and always had her pick among 20 or 30 horses to ride.
She was originally schooled by her "cowboy" father who gathered wild horses in his teen years and later was a rodeo bronc rider, stuntman, and farrier.
Her mother started in the business riding jumpin

She was originally schooled by her "cowboy" father who gathered wild horses in his teen years and later was a rodeo bronc rider, stuntman, and farrier.
Her mother started in the business riding jumping horses and became encyclopedic in her knowledge of the breeding of Arabian horses, which was their passion.
Robin's many years of work with horses led to her philosophy of the "Soft Touch" approach.
Dale spent his life in, and around, the horse business.
Early on he started "wild horses" for the Yakima Indian nation and a top Arabian horse training and breeding operation in eastern Washington. He also trained for many private clients.
He raised, trained, and sold his own pleasure horses and worked for many years as a certified farrier

Similar to Robin, Dale has broad experience with many different training methods and shares her enthusiasm for the "Soft Touch" approach to handling horses.
